The aquarium is place where one might make friends—sometimes just not the ones you expected, Fishface! (Are you trying out for a part in Dick Tracy as a villain?)
IN an early episode of The Invaders, “Genesis”, they were using an aquarium for experiments in life. Life that was generated there from non-life. We know it was by the aliens since it was Dr. Lenniere who did it. Their lead scientist Dr. Lenniere was ill, and they needed to “fix him” in the vat using high charges of electricity. Something had gone wrong with the regeneration and if he dies, could set back their invasion plans by months or even years. Think of the regeneration like taking the Star Trek teleportation technology but changed to be used to construct new things. In this case the aliens did that with their own bodies to survive here and fit in. Only they have no heartbeats or blood. But if that charge isn’t given to keep their atoms in that artificial matrix it starts breaking down and they begin to revert to their normal morphology. Well Lenniere went far enough to shock a police man for catching just a glimpse of him. Made him catatonic in real Lovecraft fashion.

That fish reminds me of a dumb looking Flounder from the Little Mermaid.
