Ah, the bad ol’ days when kids got measles…and mumps…and chicken pox…and a lot worse.

Ahh, that’s when Doctors made house calls, gave you some homemade medicine in an envelope, had a couple of good belts in the kitchen with Dad, and got 2 dollars and was on his way to the next house call. Ah they were the good old days.

Good thing I was vaccinated against the measles…

45 dollars for 9 house calls, those were the good old days. Now it costs more than that to walk in the door.

When my sister was little she used to sing a song about a very ugly girl called Catalina Matalina. One line went like this. She got a job with the doctor making money quick. Standing on the corner making people sick.

Look at it this way, kid. Because of you, I didn’t have a day off or a full nights sleep for a month.

I may just remember that the next time you need a shot.

I say get used to it. The doctors do not make house calls anymore.

$45.00 for a doctor’s visit? Our grandparents didn’t know how good they had it!

If Cicero gave the measles to the whole school, that doctor should be paying HIM!
