Rubber shortage during WW2? Lucky’s changed the ink color on the cigarette packs to conserve the metal component in the original pigment (chromium [green] or cadmium [red] perhaps?).
To save money people use to use the typewriter ribbon over and over.
Yea; flip it over, try to run it right to the end, on both ends….
My fingers are no longer strong enough to type on one of those monsters, upon which I learned.
