Jeff’s going home. Mutt met him in- what the strip so kindly calls ‘the booby hatch.’ Mutt was hiding from creditors, and the strip was titled A. MUTT at the time. Jeff was more or less in voluntarily as well, and when he left with Mutt, he got his name in the title.
