We, too, have been traveling. First, we went to Yellowstone and had a lovely time hiking and picnicking, and seeing all the animals. Big horn sheep, buffalo, elk, geese,………but NO BABIES!!!!! I can’t believe it was too early! The buffalo babies usually come around Easter, but not one to be seen this time! The wild flowers were also just showing up. Snow packs still in the shaded areas, but the grasses are pretty much growing. All in all, a magnificent place to visit!
Then, we spent the night in Bozeman, and did a bunch of shopping at stores we don’t have near home. Then, on to the Headwaters of the Missouri state park. This is the confluence of the Gallatin, Madison, and Jefferson Rivers into the Mighty Missouri. The Missouri is the longest river in the U. S., and it would take 2 1/2 months to float from the headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico. Woo Hoo!
Jan, sounds like you had a blast at the Nevada Northern Railway yard! I checked out the website, and it sounds like a place we would love to visit also! I’m an ole’ steam engine fan from way back.
Everyone sounds great…….except for Arye…….you have your health to think about, but it might be tough leaving all those wonderful cultural events in NY!
