Good morning, Vagabonds. May may be almost over but I still need a jacket, although a light one, when I’m outside.

My room is a MESS between the tapes that I’ve copied and the tapes that need to be copied and the tapes I’ve already copied but need to make other copies for friends who I videotaped when their kids were babies and now in their 20s.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

We’re off today……to the airshow at Fairchild AFB in Spokane, WA.. We’re so excited because this is the first airshow we’ve been to since they cancelled all the shows last year. It’s a time to thank all our military for their service, and of course, to see the Thunderbirds in action. I know Jan gets to see/hear them practice all the time, but this is a big treat! (of course, we’ll get to go shopping in the “big” city, too).

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, I don’t get to see or hear the military jets much at all. Nellis is too far out of town and they practice over the desert rather than over the city. There’s lots and lots of empty desert around here.

Enjoy your visit to Michael’s home town. (He just told me about the time he got to sit in a WWII era fighter plane cockpit when he was at Fairchild on an elementary school field trip.)

Arye, re: our discussion about body piercings at Dear Abby today. See today’s strip “Pluggers”. You will get a kick out of it.

Saturday is a good day to have nothing planned. I haven’t looked beyond my toon tour yet.

We went to see the new Disney movie “Maleficent” this afternoon. It’s a new take on the Sleeping Beauty story and very well done. Angelina Jolie is well cast in the title role.

Good morning Vagabonds. This weather and its temps is ridiculous. Going to be in the high 30’s overnight ( which is what it usually is in the middle of October) then today it will be in the 70’s and the rest of the week in the 70’s and 80’s during the day with 50’s at night. At least the sun will be shining most of the week,Maybe I can get the plants in today.Peace

Good morning, Vagabonds. Jan, I thought “Pluggers” was funny. Thank you. Speaking of body piercing (from a letter written to “Dear Abby”") I often change subway cars if someone in my view has an eyebrow piercing.

The copying of VHS tapes is on schedule. I enjoyed viewing my VHS copy of a PBS ducumentary of King Christian IX of Denmark (The “father-in-law” of Europe") and his numerous descendants.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, would the reference be from “The Wiz”? I never liked the music in that particular version of Oz. Not my taste I guess. And Diana Ross was a bit too old to be Dorothy (but then so was Judy Garland, though not as much).

Temp is supposed to be cooler today, 95 instead of 100.

Off to church. Last Sunday was communion. Today is “donut Sunday”.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

I am writing to you from Spokane, WA. Went to the airshow yesterday. Those Thunderbirds are so awesome! Lots of aircraft on display, and all the military folks are extremely friendly. I used my walker because of all the walking, and it has a seat so I can sit whenever. It seems that anytime I did so, there was an airman coming along to check on me. These young folk are awesome! Jack went back early this a.m. to photograph the ground display with out a kazillion people standing around the aircraft. So, I’m sitting in a lovely air conditioned room and finishing another great book.

I saw the Broadway Musical, “The Wiz” when it came to the Ahmanson in L. A. years ago. It was such fun……..and all the dancing was incredible! My favorite was the 4 very muscular guy dancers dressed in rather brief yellow costumes……yep……they were The Yellow Brick Road.(never saw the movie…….didn’t want to spoil my memories of a terrific show!)
