    Morning, Village!

I just can’t imagine a minus 20. Here it’s 39 and it’s cold enough to freeze a wart off a witch’s nose. Bet Arye’s not cold where he is.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Here in Merida I’m doing a lot of walking without using my rolator. It hurts my legs to walk so much, but I hope it takes some weight off me. Yesterday, I restricted myself to just 3 meals and NO snacks. I haven’t had breakfast yet (it’s 7:35 AM here) and I’m roaring with hunger. I plan to have 2 slices of toast with butter and jelly and a glass of milk. For lunch I’m looking forward to a plate of cantaloupe and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

Yesterday in the park a shoeshine man was feeding the pigeons and boy what a frenzy they made. I photographed it. last year a shoeshine man was feeding pigeons from his hand. I wanted to photograph it but my movement to get my camera frightened the pigeons away.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

So good to hear you are doing great, Arye. This trip each year really sounds like your cup of tea! Thanks for the “blow by blow” descriptions you give us!

We went for our yearly physicals yesterday. It is also very good to hear that both of us are doing great (except for the getting old and achy part). We do the “fasting” blood work today, and will have the results probably by tomorrow. I love having what they call the “Patient Portal”. You have your own page(s) of your health history, all the tests and results and doctor’s reports. I like to know what the records say, and I can compare from year to year. I like having my primary care doctor having ALL of this at HIS fingertips as well, right on his laptop. Makes for a great orchestra leader.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Not much happening here in the desert. High temps are hovering about 60 with lows in the mid-40’s. We’re about halfway between at the moment.
