It’s 78 degrees here this rainy morning. It’s been raining off every day, ever since the day when I posted here about getting caught in a rain-band while out for my morning walk. Our subtropical South Florida official “rainy season” ended October 15, but the rain continues.
Tropical Storm Zeta is poised to make landfall on Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, and then move into the Gulf of Mexico. This is what the National Hurricane center posted, as of 5:00 a.m. today. Full details and updated info. are at nhc.noaa.gov
“Zeta is forecast to be at or near hurricane strength when it approaches the northern Gulf Coast on Wednesday, and there is an increasing risk of storm surge, rainfall, and wind impacts from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle. Residents in these areas should monitor the progress of Zeta and updates to the forecast.”

It was 3 degrees this morning. The high yesterday was 17, and it’s supposed to reach 28 today. Harrumph! Good news is there is no more precip scheduled this week.
Nothing new to report. Sir. (we’ve been watching M*A*S*H and Klinger comes to mind) We haven’t watched it in about 5 years so the episodes are enjoyable again.
And a cold good morning it is. It’s 43 outside at the moment with a cold wind blowing. I actually had to turn on the heat this morning. Michael just tried to take Smokey out for a walk and she spent about 30 seconds outside with her fur all puffed out before demanding to come back in again. But even with the heavy wind, the AQI is still over 60. It’s blowing hard enough that we took the flag down to protect it from falling over. That homemade PVC flag pole has a tendency to come apart when stressed.
Not much happening today. We have a “date” to play World of Warcraft together for a few hours. The housekeepers just arrived. The one thing we have to do for them is get the litter boxes outside. They won’t even clean the area around them per company policy, so we put them outside until the bathtub where we keep them is clean.
It has been a cold, wet day here. The day started off at 39 and climbed down to 34. With the rain it feels colder. The snow stayed north of us, however by the time I go to Walmart in the morning the roads will be icy. Nothing much happened today, just stayed in and stayed warm.

Current temperature 36, high 40 rain and snow. Suppose it’s got to happen.(o.o)
There is a coating of snow on the ground. (grrrrrrr)
Not much on my plate for today, a quick run to Orleans then back by way of the Quick Stop.
May you have a good day with Gods blessings.
