I missed posting yesterday, mostly because I just plain forgot. I guess that means double duty on the toon tour this morning.
Rita, as Mark said yesterday, please stop falling down!
We went over to the local mall yesterday just to have a nice walk together out of the heat. It wasn’t too crowded, and was a nice effort. The only store we actually went into was the “As Seen on TV”. And even there, we didn’t see anything we actually wanted to buy. I did want to get some See’s candy, but that store was closed. I told Michael that was the Lord’s way of saying I didn’t need any candy. I was impressed by how many of the window displays were fall clothing, sweaters, etc. when it was 108 degrees outside. LOL
We have nothing on the calendar for the next few days until my echocardiogram on Thursday. Of course there’s the usual laundry day and prayer meeting, but that’s not written down on the calendar….
We got the shoe rack/bench put together on Saturday and it works pretty well. As always with pre-drilled and do-it-yourself furniture, there were a few hiccups but not enough to worry about. Now on to the other “projects”. (Ha, ha, ha)
We actually had a tornado warning yesterday afternoon! We were nowhere near where it might have come down, but it was still a first for us. We’re looking at 105 today with 36% humidity. I think it’s a good thing I’m tied down inside with the laundry. (I already had my walk this morning while Michael was at the hot tub.)
Good morning, Vagabonds.
