This is definitely a Mythtickle hive. Male bees (drones) in reality would never have this conversation; it’d be a strictly mother-daughter (i.e., queen-worker) row!
It could be mother-son, but you’d think she’d be happy the little drone was going to get a job…

It’s John Belushi from SNL (many years ago).
Maybe he can get a job in a “b movie.”
All drones have wonderful jobs, and only have to work a very short time in order to fulfull their contracts.
Unfortunately, they all die just before retirement.
But they die happy.
