Well, the alien IS alien! Sort of reminds me of “The Day the Earth Stood Still” in its original form (“Farewell to the Master,” by Harry Bates), where the “robot” turned out to be the true living alien (“the Master”) and Klaatu was the android. That must be some powerful coffee!

I think it was the “ya-yas.” Those can’t be healthy, just from the sound of it.

I’ve actually seen something like this in real life. Back in Arizona, when our resident smart@$$ at work tried to scarf down a raw habanero pepper.

Coffee recipe I once read in an old Lucky Luke, been using it ever since: You take a pound of ground coffee beans, damp it with a splash of water, let it boil for half an hour. Drop in a horse shoe, if it sinks, add more coffee.
