But isn’t that exactly where organized religions and non-religions have been trying to lodge their particular God-concept since the beginning of time?

I can’t help but suspect that a mindcast featuring a combative Norse god and an Egyptian god of the dead is going to end up more like “Firing Line” than like “Bob and Ray.”

The Arc story from the bible is historically and geologically in accurate. There has never been a world wide flood. Many different regions flood, though, and they all have myths about it. To me, the first four read like any other fairy tale out there. The rest of the bible, at least what wasn’t discarded due reasons we can’t know, seems historically accurate in events. Just as much as Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey had historical events within a work of fiction.

We create gods as and when we feel we need them.

The idea that any person or group.might control other people’s mind is chilling. Verbal and physical like NAZI germany practices would be tiny in comparison. It is my opinion that ALL religious groups would be prone to use given followers are expected to follow based on faith and one person’s or group’s interpretation. The World Trade Center attack was.based on religious interpretation.
