Well, the birds and the bees and the butterflies certainly appreciate them.

My son and I walked a mile or so through national forest to find a section of Trout stream that few people venture to. When we got there, there was a field of fully bloomed sunflowers tucked away through the trees on the other side of the creek. It was fantastic!

We’ve been back there a few times over the years since then, but it’s always just been an empty field. Glad we caught it when we did!

Weeds?! Weeds they call them. The freest and most beautiful wild flowers, and they are yanked out, sprayed, and cursed. Little unseen flower, count your blessings.

One of my favorite gifts at graduation was a book, “Leaves of Grass” by Walt Whitman. I still have it, though graduation was nearly 50 years ago.

It always made me feel good that someone considered it a match for me. Books are a good graduation gift indeed. Thank you for the memory, Justin.

That flower makes a good point. Not all of them are exhibitionists.
