The biggest surprise to me is that this appeared on November 25, 1955. Over the last decades I have heard many people complain that Christmas activities start too early in the calendar year and that in the past things didn’t get underway until December 1 at the earliest. This shows that that may not have been the case as long as 65 years ago.
I immediately guessed Stephan Colbert! I should’ve known that show is on too late for Nancy to be up though. I must’ve been projecting. And if so, I meant it in a platonic way of course. Even though he’s dreamy…
