I remember a Nancy strip from the 1970s. Sluggo had mud splashed onto him by a car. Nancy went into a house and – when she came out – the mud had gone from Sluggo who didn’t know how. Nancy explained that it was Ernie Bushmiller’s house and she had asked him to get rid of the mud.
