There’s a lot of reader interaction going on during this story arc and I’m very encouraged by that. Some of the comments get racy…and sometimes lude here. But that’s all about the poster, not the strip.I hope you can try to keep this a friendly place for all.I can see from this space and also the emails I receive and tweets, Facebook comments…that the romantic Christmas story is one that many readers are paying attention to. We have a reach each day of well over several million, and we are receiving tens of 1000s of interactions each day on this. 99.9 % super positive….so I am grateful the story is being read, and appreciated for the most part. I did a charity event in Nashville last Saturday and it was ALL the fans talked to me about! I am trying to balance our normal, fun,gag material with telling a story. There isn’t the room we would have, say, in a comic book…so things take time to develop. I have also taken some of your comments to heart, and have been changing Phil’s appearance slightly. You’ll see this more this week. Many of the questions I’ve been asked about the characters’ origins, and histories will be revealed. ALSO…consider this A REBOOT. Comic BOOKS do it all the time…..This is the 80th anniversary of NANCY coming up, and the 91st of FRITZI…… so things that happened in the 1920s and 30s, 40s….must be changed around and updated for our audience today.
