Nancy, you may not get much of a tan with SPF 80, but at least you’ll be reducing your risk of malignant melanoma, basal cell cancer, and premature aging of the skin. Just make sure you put enough on! And yes, kitty, you are a cutey :)

I’ll take a dog over a cat in a heartbeat.

SPF 80? Lucky you! (I’m descended from Scots – I need about SPF 5,000 by now…)

Actually, some have gotten the tips of their ears sunburned, and eventually they have gotten cancer on their ears. Still, that is a really cute answer from a really cute kitty.

Little Dot must have outgrown her swimsuit and handed it down to Nancy. She didn’t hand down her bow. That red bow without dots is all Nancy’s.

Someone, I forget who, said “The best decoration in any home is a cat.” I tell my cats that all the time.

The hairless variety of cats has to be protected from the sun. They burn very easily.

Let’s get along without denigrating cats! They are much smarter than dogs and can survive outside in the wild better than any domesticated animal. I will take a black 250lb. jaguar against any dog – any time! A simple growl will back off any would be robber, etc. of the 2 – legged variety! In fact mine loves dog meat!

Cats actually can tolerate heat up to 50 C-without discomfort. And up to 56 C if they have access to water. That’s a remnant of the day they were desert animals.

Actually, I’ve heard, and observed, that cats are still wild animals. Dogs may work, cats don’t. And if they come across small animals in the house, they will hunt and kill them, and not for food. And I love them for their wildness.
