When I run, I unfortunately have on occasion gotten so involved with looking around me at the scenery that I have forgotten to watch carefully enough the sidewalk where I run…. and have tripped myself a few times.
Both Sluggo’s advice to look down….. and to look around are valuable.
I wrote a fable once about a young boy who found a $20 bill on the ground, and after that he couldn’t stop checking for another one, and he eventually died too young from complications due to curvature of the spine.
