I feel like we’re seeing this particular joke a little too often in ‘Nancy’ these days: character shares a nice-sounding sentiment, other character takes it the wrong way, ironic fun is had by all. It could just be my imagination, yet only yesterday we had a similar set up with Sluggo getting depressed by Nancy.
A little variety would be nice. Mix in more visual gags, Poochie shenanigans (Poochienanigans?), or have Fritzi listen to other wine moms brag about their kids (I know that’s not a recurring event, but it should be). Or maybe these ironic outcomes could be tailored to individual characters. I think we see that with Nancy, who usually twists the advice she’s given to inflate her ego rather than get depressed.

I don’t know. Am I overthinking this?
