I’m finding it hard to think of Sluggo as a Disney princess.

It’s the blue bird of sewingness!

Cute punchline. The blue jays are already prepared with needle and thread to repair the nest!

But the way the picture is drawn it looks like the birds are motherly hens wanting to sew up the loose patch on Sluggo’s jacket!

I wonder at OJ’s lead time, and whether she considered having Sluggo pursued by little Xs instead.

This is indeed a disturbing universe. At least the birds are helpful.

What would make this perfect would be using the tailor bird which is green and white. They actually use strings and other fiber strands to sew leaves together to build a nest. Having them fix Suggo’s jacket would have been even funnier.
