Meh. You’re just picking someone to run the office for a few years. They don’t have to be perfect, just competent. There are a lot of competent and reasonably honest politicians. There are no perfect politicians, no is it possible. To paint all politicians as the same is a trick of the corrupt and incompetent to distract from their intentions. Just like any other job.

One doesn’t have to vote for someone. Most elections I just vote against the worst of a sorry lot. 2024 will be a prime example.
