There are all sorts of commentaries regarding how and why Sunday became the Sabbath for most if not all Christians, but really, that being the case, it really would make more sense for Sunday to be considered the seventh rather than first day of the week – if truly to coincide with the day on which the Lord Himself “rested”. Not to mention, to coincide with what we do, after all, refer to as the “week END!!”
