I just asked if it was going to take long because the wife and girl friend were waiting for me in the bed room. I think they marked my block because I never saw them in my neighborhood again.
Haha! We had Latter Day Saints at our house once and my son made the mistake of engaging in a conversation. He couldn’t escape so the the neighbor came over with a bottle of beer for him. They left their book and ran away! My son left it on the front steps for a week or so with a can of beer next to it but they never came back to retrieve it!
There is an episode of a UK comedy series “Black’s Books” in which Black is so desperate to avoid doing his taxes, he invites a couple of religious proselytizers into his book shop for tea. He winds up having to explain the Bible to them , as they are ill-prepared for their chosen service. Hilarious commentary, tastefully handled.

Too late, Norm. You’ve been sighed up for “Devil’s Workshop”.

I just start speaking French to them, then they leave me alone.

I just ask them why they are so heavenly bound they are no earthly good. Then quietly close the door.
