I read about some guy who was rebuilding a car in his driveway. One of his neighbors objected and called the cops citing a city ordinance. The guy had to go to court and pay a fine. He owned an adjacent property and had a great idea. Researched and found it feasible. He painted the car various garish colors and mounted it on a pedestal on the adjacent property. In court (yes, once again), he sited the Cadillac Ranch and said his was also an art exhibit and the judge agreed. Excellent retaliation.
