I was thrilled when I got a summer sausage sandwich, wrapped in wax paper (which I’d have to bring home) A rare bonus if there was a slice of Velveeta ‘cheese-like product’. I regret I didn’t fully appreciate the thick slices of homemade bread at the time. Legends and dreams can be made of simple stuff.
It can be hard to tell when talking to girls sometimes, Jake, but you’re not doing too badly. Just let her do the talking and she’ll remember you as a good conversationalist.
I wouldn’t have known what a Bento box was, or what went into one, but I did have a lunchbox I recall fondly. Usually had a thermos of milk, a PB&J or bologna sandwich a piece of fruit and a few animal crackers.
