I always understood “getting pickled” in a bar to be somewhat different.

I had some delicious pickles in Brazil some years ago. They had been brined in recycled olive brine. They had a great olive flavor with the crunch of a pickle. I quite enjoyed them.

Deke is particular about his brand of pickles.
