I’ve always thought that calling someone an animal was a silly put down: Animals mostly don’t have a hidden agenda, they mostly don’t take pleasure in your pain (or your pleasure, but that’s okay) and they are quite often warm and fuzzy. MUCH better than the run of the mill adult.
