Kate: Uh ... why are you guys sitting around the storm drain? Jeffery: It's not a storm drain ... Lucy: ... it's a dragon's lair ... Danae: ... being covered up by the government. Kate: Ya know, Freud said, sometimes a storm drain is just a storm drain ... Jeffery: Really, Kate? Sigmund Freud said that? Kate: No ... Larry Freud, the county sewage director. Jeffery: Well, there you go ... Lucy: Oh, dear ... then it must be true! Danae: ... Another cog in the government's propaganda machine.

But, if there isn’t a storm, it’s empty. And if it’s empty, it’s available for anything to sneak in and hide. The dragon probably comes out just before a big storm. Maybe that’s what makes thunder, maybe…

As I said on Monday: sometimes stinky muck is just stinky muck.

Oh for the days when storm drains did not have bars. I remember as a kid being able to explore from the local creek (riverlet for the uninitiated) right under the local racecourse until the drains became too small to crawl through. Ah, memories (sigh!),

“It’s not a storm drain, it’s a dragon’s lair being covered up by the government.” …that leads to the lost city of Atlantis.

Ever watch Cities of the Underworld? The Soviets kept lots of interesting stuff in the sewers in Moscow… some of it still supposedly top secret. :)

There was a movie, I think it was called “Invasion From Mars” which had Martians living in a sewer.
Check your neck, Danae, before it’s too late!

That’s the thing about conspiracy theories: if there’s evidence, it’s evidence. If there’s no evidence, it’s still evidence.

Well doctortoon: because dragons actually produce some solid waste (and due to not exactly being herbivores, the sulphur content is higher) which contains sulphur compounds (such as hydrogen and carbonyl sulphides), and they also exhale carbonyl sulphide (well the portion that doesn’t burn anyway) which all stink.
Alife, about the “dirty jobs”; you are aware that Danae has called on the UN to do them?

Wasn’t there also a popular movie called “The Perfect Storm Drain” or something like that?

You guys really have no clue. That storm drain is the shortcut to “witch mountain”.

Abbott: “That’s Witch Mountain over there.”
Costello: “Which mountain?”
Abbott: “Yes, Witch Mountain.”
Costello: “That’s what I’m asking….which mountain?”
Abbott: “The name of that mountain is Witch Mountain.”
Costello: “That’s what I wanna know….which mountain is called Witch Mountain?”
Abbott: “Yes.”
