@bluskies -You’re the first person I’ve ever found that had a clue about Winky-Dink! When I’ve tried to explain the 50s-era TV cartoon show to others, they looked at me like I had three heads! I remember the blue-tinted vinyl that one placed over the TV screen… the flannel for erasing the crayon marks (and imparting a static charge to keep the vinyl stuck to the screen)… the colored crayons to trace the clues to the puzzle. I also remember the spankings I got from my father for failure to remove the tinted vinyl afterward. And for drawing directly on the TV when I couldn’t find the screen cover. Ahhhh, weren’t those the days?
