I lived on the Outer Banks of NC for 20 years and I can give eyewitness testimony that seagulls DO like french fries (fast food parking lots are their favorite hangouts)….ham sandwiches….watermelon….dog food…anything that can be snatched from inattentive people/children/dogs!

Saw a seagull dive bomb a guy carrying a hotdog he just bought. Knocked it right out of his hands, then ate it when the guy walked away in disgust.

It seems french fries were invented in Belgium, and discovered there by American soldiers during WWI.http://wonderopolis.org/wonder/belgian-fries/

Why are you fixating on the seagull? The teenager looks guilty.

Some days, the strips aren’t too bad. Most days, they’re like this one.

Original humor that works is not easy to achieve on a daily basis, and I know that I could never do this job.

I’m a Chef and I eat all the fries I want for free, they’re mine until they leave the kitchen. No need to steal them. However, the front of the house are a bunch of fry stealing thieves. I’ve seen them when they think I’m not noticing.

Hmm, it was the French Foreign Legion, manned by foreigners, only commanded by French officers, that lost in Southeast Asia, 45 and again in 54 after we’d already helped them out, in Paris and Saigon, then after 54 we stepped in again to try to keep them in power in their empire. Then we decided to go for our own empire, didn’t win in ‘Nam, and we’re still not doing that well in the Middle East, Africa, and even our South American conquests are fading. Is that because folks prefer to rule themselves? Did we learn anything from 1776?
