Spin? Is that someone who goes around the block? Or just a translator. Retelling something we really wanted to hear.

The nephew of Sigmund Freud, and a propagandist, according to Wiki, spelled his name Bernays. Interesting connections, Night-Gaunt!

At least this fellow isn’t alone. The US DOL shows that 42% of adult americans are not in the workforce now. I guess we’re all prescient.

Bernays had many faults, including assuming that a ‘benevolent dictator’ type of person was needed to form public opinion or democracy wouldn’t work.

But Bernays in his autobiography was shocked to learn that Goebbels had his book in the very large library of books collected to help the Nazis learn how to manipulate public opinion.

Both Bernays and his uncle Sigmund were of Jewish heritage. This may have been the beginning of Bernays’ development of a conscience, who knows. He later came to regret, for example, his work on behalf of tobacco industry after his wife died of lung cancer (she was a smoker).
