Danae: So what makes you think there's a monster under the bed? Lucy: I thought I heard something......So there just might be something down there, which means it could be a monster, so to be on the safe side, we should assume there is something under the bed that wants to eat us!! Voice from out of frame: Daddy! There's definitely a remote possibility that a kid-eating monster is under my bed!! Ned: That reminds me...I need to get to the airport early tomorrow.
All the children speak with Lucy. She would talk with adults, but doesn’t have anything to say to them. For the life of me, I don’t know why, after all these years, people keep thinking Lucy is a stuffed animal, no matter how many times it’s pointed out here that she’s NOT, and how many times I work into occassional strips to show she’s a “real” horse, just as Snoopy is a “real” dog and Garfield is a “real” cat.
