I remember the controversy, when someone trying to draw attention to himself started campaigning for decency, to get rid of the “obviously gay” teletubbies. My first reaction to that was simply, “wut”
I watched some as the result of the controversy and yes aimed a toddlers but still I liked Laa laa. Used to sort of dance around going “La la la la la la”. Would like to attain that state of being…. without outside substances.

It must not be all that lucrative, anyway.
Last I heard, he was trying desperately to keep his head above water.
Liverlips…..
Not sure whether that’s a comment on the strip or you’re actually asking for help.
If the latter… TellyTubbies is a PBS TV program for very young children….
The pudgy, baby-ish characters are dressed like the ones in this strip.
Rather oddly, to me, they live underground, obey a disembodied voice, and have TV’s in their bellies.
Their names are Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po….
Hence Mark’s parody…. “Plungie-Wungie.”

I guess Laa-Laa made too much caa-caa in the loo-loo.
