Bunny!!Nah…well, part the students, many of who try to get away with the least amount of work/attention possible, and part the teachers who need to lay down the law and fail them if they’re gonna half-arse it.
If I was a teacher, I would lay down the law and tell them if they didn’t put those electronics away, it’s an automatic failure. If they don’t like it, they can see their guidance counselor and get removed from the class. If they need the class, then they better pay attention and work their butts off to earn the grade. Some teachers who are dedicated will be able to tell if the students actually did the work or cheated. In which case, automatic fail. If the college or university doesn’t like it too bad. There are too many people out there who have degrees they really didn’t earn, making it hard for those that did really earn those degrees.

So the problem seems to be the students…

Student apathy and sense of entitlement… I see it every day in middle school.

Don’t teachers have the discretion to ban distracting electronics from classes?
