Most vacations are a series of minor aggravations that may or may not be worth it, depending on the destination. Fortunately, most destinations are worth it.

Did Claire not read a thing about Paris before she went there? Hotel rooms are tiny, bathtubs are tiny, the French usually know English but make Americans try to say it in French…

We had a bathtub in our Paris hotel room. It was so narrow only my kids could sit in it comfortably. The shower was handheld.

And the gypsies… wonder if they’re going to run into gypsies?

Bah who cares about hotel rooms they are places to sleep in not what you came to visit! Personally I am only in a hotel room on vacation to sleep and shower other than that I am out living the experience.

If they run into Gypsies, I hope they play guitar as well as Django Reinhardt!

I thought it was funny. First time I was there I loved it, hated it, then loved it again. Just the way the city is. :)

They should take the advice of the guy that they rent from and find a place off the main strip.

I think just being able to have to time and money to travel is amazing. I hope I get to travel one day even though I’m afraid to fly.

I’ve been to Paris. I’d rather go to other places in France… I’ve heard they’re more beautiful and the people are more nicer.

Oh, mon Dieu! imho Paris is the most beautiful city in the world, just waiting for you to discover her. I’ve had a lifetime affair with her since 1969 and would not hesitate to go back for the 58th time.
