Why do people read those stupid tabloids? Who cares what the supposed “stars” are doing? I’m more interested in what’s going on in my personal life with my own friends and family.

This kid is nerdy-smart, but her comment is still probably way over his head.

In fact, they say many autism-spectrum people are extremely fascinated by vacuums, though that may not be as typical as fascination with trains. He’s definitely serious about vacuums and truly uncomfortable if any vacuum-related situation is awry.

What I love about the strip is the even-tempered acceptance of very different personalities, family cultures, etc. The silly “puns”, I can take or leave.

I don’t read the tabloids, but it is fun to skim the headlines–great practice for creative writing!

And breathing air too, don’t forget! A very high percentage of autistic children have been found to have been breathing air before the autism showed up.

And, let’s not forget the dangers posed by Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO)–every autistic child out there has received DHMO every day of their life in some form…
