so, putting in the original date will not hurt readership.

jackdohany Repeat, as in run again or rerun. The original run date was a number of years ago.
All of Calvin & Hobbes are repeats as the strip’s original run was from 1985-1995.

I think the original year is in the very tiny horizontal print-might be 2006. Isn’t it great to read 3 versions of such a cute strip?
