About 35 years ago, I saw a show that was advertised as “The Concert”. Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie Orchestra. Most amazing evening of music I ever heard. The evening closed with a Frank and Ella duet of “The Lady is a Tramp”. Breathtaking.
Yes: Frank Sinatra’s voice has much the same effect as the movies of Rudy Valentino. I heard of people watching one of his movies–and all the women stop talking and just watch, enthralled, while Valentino is onscreen. And it’s true!
