Onions make great cough syrup too.
Cut one up and add 2 tspns sugar and 2 tspns water. Seal with handi-wrap and leave it out overnight. Drink the syrup it will make. No more coughs and your cold will dissapear!
Seriously!! My dad raised 5 of us on it and it works!
