How often have you used algebra in your daily life? Like AX^2+BX+C=0?

Were they using vector algebra to determine the best angle to pull the shovel down? If so, they should thank their teacher.

Algebra was like a language test. It was all Greek to me.

I use algebra (and geometry and matrices and statistics…) regularly.

I guess there aren’t many rodent scientists and engineers, so you can’t blame those little guys for their shirking. Whereas my daughter, being an intelligent human being would be annoyed to miss a maths test!

Strong little buggers; Mighty Mouse must be their ancestor.

All math is is a way to describe and understand the world around you. For some things you want to be pretty precise about your understanding. For example, when you drive over that bridge, you hope the engineer that designed it understood it well, and when you flush your toilet, you hope that the engineer who specified the city sewer sizes got it right. Many people don’t need such precision, but they still use math, for example to figure out how far they can go before they need to buy gas.

It’s not remembering formulas and stuff that’s important. It was the analytical thinking of math that sticks — the process of solving problems. That sticks with you for life.

You know Nate could pick them all up and carry them to school……………

Mice moms would not let that stand.

As always, all I know about math is that 2 + 2 = 22 …
