Butterflies aren’t illegal. They were here before the GOP.

Nah, they just hate butterflies on principle.

Both of you missed the possibility that the butterflies are actually Canadian (they are Monarchists after all) and just winter in Mexico.

Being a "perch’ for a butterfly just shows you’re a “better” part of the world, and can hold still long enough to care for that world.

I read that the Monarch’s habitat is dwindling down in Mexico. Must be from lack of environmental laws. See why we have an EPA here?

Monarch butterflys are so ho-hum anymore. Our landscape designer built us a butterfly garden. Entire ecosystem going on out there. This plant produces the scents, that one is food, etc. Result is amazing. There are so many more species than Monarch’s. And so much more beautiful.

If you hate monarch butterflies, your yard may be up to your hips in milkweed.

the monarch counters over in my nearby buterfly perch of pacific grove, california, have been talking about declining numbers in the overwintering population. perhaps they’ve just been migrating to this strip….
