I read all these comments and got an image of a guy standing in a courtyard, screaming, “That’s not what I said!”2000 + years of repeats, rewrites and editors are why there’s so much confusion. Stick with the first Golden Rule, ‘ya know, the “Do unto others” bit. It’s simpler and much less stressful.
@debauchee – just giving credit to the man who sang the song that that line contained. i believe he also wrote the words, but didn’t check – and was ‘profit’ intentional or did you mean ‘prophet’? cause ray did make lots of money off the song “everything is beautiful” (in it’s own way) course my favorite ray steven’s song was “the streak” – ’don’t look mildred, but it was too late’ :)
