verne: hammy, have you seen any turkeys?...they all seem to be missing and thanksgiving is just two days away. hammy: Turkeys? verne: you know, large bird...stripey feathers....weird water balloon thingy hanging from the beak. hammy: waaaat? turkey: it's called a snood. verne: don't tell me...there's a bunch of turkeys behind me. hammy: okay.

Turkeys have snoods, wattles, and caruncles. Snoods are associated with the beaks, and wattles hang from their throats. Think of roosters as an example of a wattle. Roosters have combs instead of snoods. There is a nice image of a turkey illustrated in Wikipedia under Snood (anatomy)
