    Totally useless trivia of the day (year)…

    According to Greek mythology, the titan Cronus performed an “operation” on his father, Uranus, with a scythe. Because their names are so similar, Cronus is often confused with Chronos, who was the personification of time. The old guy you often see this time of year, who usually represents the outgoing year, is a combination of the two, hence the hourglass and the scythe.
