Well, Snoopy did fetch the ball for him. He just gave him a little medicine. Don’t worry, Schroder, Beethoven will be less painful to learn to play than fetch.

Schroeder and Snoopy will actually be very close when Schroeder plays Chopin. That was Snoopy’s favorite.

I wonder sometimes how this strip survived long enough to become the great strip it eventually did.

Now Schroeder has full yellow hair.

Baby Schroeder is a real jerk.

@wonka291The original strips were definitely generic “cute kids” strips, but they were well-done enough to give them time to become the legend they later became. Today’s strip could literally be any baby and any puppy! (By the way, say hi to the Oompa Loompas for me……..)

It survived because it accurately represented the times. Back then, people weren’t afraid to call out and smack down someone who was behaving like a schmuck. Nowadays we either hear about how offended someone is (or how offended they are because we told them to stop behaving like a schmuck).

Now we’re even, huh?
