You have a choice, but stay away from baseball.

I think he is living off his royalties, just down the street from Calvin.

Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional. I opted out.

What would the grown-up Charlie Brown be doing? We don’t really know how he does in school.

I asked two of my nieces, then age 2 and 4, what they wanted to be when they grew up. The response sounded like each girl reading a list, with “and” between each choice.

Nah – just drop out of school and see where the whims of fate take you.

You had great good fortune Charlie Brown in that you get to remain a little boy forever and you don’t have to worry about getting a job. All you have to do is feed your dog, try to keep your kite out of the kite-eating tree’s branches, kick the football (or the mean kid “holding it”), and pitch a winning a baseball game.

I generally say “if you grow up,” to leave it as an option.
