I used to be the one in my “friend group” who arranged things, confirmed things, hosted things, checked on people who weren’t well…and one day I decided to wait and see if someone would contact me first. No one. Not one of those people missed me at all, apparently.
It was about this time that I learned to read and began reading “the funnies”. I objected to Peanuts because the heads were so big that the kids would never be able to touch the tops of their heads, or even their faces.

In a few years it will be, “Ha ha Charlie Brown we are having a party and you’re not invited”

Soon Charlie Brown will take up the mantle of odd man out — it seems to arrive about the same time as Lucy
