"Hi, fussbudget...Is Linus home?" Charlie Brown greets Lucy as she opens the door for him. He carries a basketball under his arm. She waves him in: "He's in the other room.." she explains.<br> <br> "Is that a ball, or are you carrying your head under your arm?" "Why don't you go throw yourself on the floor, fussbudget?" Charlie Brown inquires as he walks along.<br> <br> He bounces the basketball towards Linus, who sits on the floor. "Ever seen a basketball, before, Linus?" he asks.<br> <br> Charlie Brown lifts his arm and proclaims: "Basketball is a great game, I tell you! A perfect combination of speed and skill and.." Linus holds the ball in his lap and looks at it.<br> <br> Charlie Brown is startled: "!" when Linus throws the ball up into the air.<br> <br> BUMPETY BUMPETY BUMPETY.... Linus dribbles the basketball.<br> <br> SWISH! Linus easily tosses the basketball into a wastebasket in the corner of the room. It makes a THUMP! as it bounces against the wall and a PLUNK! as it lands.<br> <br> Charlie Brown walks off, announcing, "There is nothing more annoying than a smart-alecky kid!"<br> <br>
Just don’t ask Linus to inflate the basketball. If Linus pumps air into it, the basketball will become a square!
