Lucy storms off with her roller-skates still attached to her ankles. She exclaims, "Stupid roller skates!"<br> <br> She grimaces darkly as she drags the skates off.<br> <br> She gives the skates a swift kick into the closet.<br> <br> She yells at the closed door, "And you can stay in there, an' Rot for all I care!"<br> <br>
Story goes that my grandfather one day took the kids’ skates and hurt his wrist. The kids (my mom and siblings) came home, saw the bandage, asked what happened. “Creeping Egyptian sun warts.” They didn’t believe that. Then he said he fell while skating. They didn’t believe that either.
