Peanuts by Charles Schulz for December 10, 1956
Transcript:
Lucy leans on the piano as Schroeder plays. She asks, "Schroeder, what if you fell in love with me about fifteen years from now?"<br> <br> He grimaces and mutters, "Good Grief!"; he walks away. She continues, "And what if to win my hand, you had to give up playing this stupid piano? Do you think you.."<br> <br> She lets out an exclamation as she looks back and realizes that he has left.<br> <br> She concludes, "He doens't know it, but a lot can happen in fifteen years..."<br> <br>
Yes, they can; but child prodigies more often than not grow into adult ones. I don’t think Lucy need worry about Schroeder’s ability to support a wife and children when the time comes.
